Inspired by our Islands

Island Ingredients. World Cuisine.

The resort offers four unique dining venues, from the lofty forest canopy to the ocean’s edge. Our menus feature Indonesian and Mediterranean-inspired dishes in a creative fusion of East and West.  Expect fresh vegetables, herbs and fruit plucked straight from our own organic gardens, and wild-caught fish from the surrounding waters – we strive to source our products as locally as possible! Come evening, our two bars serve light bites and a tantalising selection of garden-to-glass cocktails.

At Bawah Reserve, all meals, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are included during your stay.

Laidback vibes & spectacular ocean views

A cool coastal escape crafted from driftwood, The Boat House is a sand-between-your-toes experience with ocean views from every table. Enjoy delectable freshly caught seafood, salads, barbecued meats, poke bowls, and pizza straight from a brick oven, plus an array of tropical juices and smoothies.

Fancy a swing from the rafters? Choose a table with a swinging chair, or opt for a sun-lounger even closer to the water. The restaurant sits right on the sand, making it the perfect daytime chillout spot. Come nightfall, this is where we hold our weekly barbecue dinners and screen our “Starlight Cinema” events.

A hideaway at the island’s summit

Well deserving of its spot at the pinnacle of the island, the Jules Verne Bar pays tribute to the 19th-century author whose imaginative novels, including The Mysterious Island, sparked a fascination with the idea of remote islands in the minds of people the world over. To reach this hidden sanctuary located above Tree Tops restaurant, you ascend a spiral staircase encased in rope netting.

Our talented mixologists have mastered a menu of both classic and tropical cocktails, dazzling with ingredients like fresh lemongrass, chilli, pandan leaves and pink peppercorns. Bespoke house-made additions such as candied orange peel, sweet soursop purees and complex wine reductions make Jules Verne Bar the ultimate haven to wind down with a garden-to-glass cocktail, either before or after dinner.

Casual beachside drinks & light bites

Named after the large fish that inhabits our lagoons, this whimsically decorated venue is the social hub of Bawah. Located mere steps from the jetty, beach and infinity pool, Grouper Bar is a convenient meeting place for an early morning coffee, mid-day nibbles or pre-dinner drinks.

By day, the vibe is chilled-out beach bar, where ambient music mixes with the sounds of nature. By night, the space transforms into a late-night lounge – perfect for Champagne toasts, or for sipping a fine vintage wine or a premium whisky.
